A recent study out by Solutions Research Group says basically that we are obsessed with “being connected”, 68% of about 5,000 people surveyed over a two year period felt “disconnect anxiety”. The people surveyed described it with words like “dazed,” “disoriented,” “tense,” “inadequate” and “panic”. Teens and young adults seemed more attached to social networks, while adults were more worried about safety issues and work. The study also said that 63% of Blackberry usersĀ have sent a message while in the bathroom, the average number of friends on Facebook for a 12-24 year old is 159 and lastly they claim that only 37% of laptop owners use it in their bedrooms.
